During the past 39 years, we have expanded our operations to include education sector security. We have formed partnerships with several reputable universities and smaller colleges, such as United Colleges Group. Using our thorough understanding of the dynamic student environment we are able to play a crucial role on campus.
On campus, our security personnel ensure a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff and visitors alike. At the same time they are focused on maintaining safety, order and operational continuity. Furthermore, our teams’ presence extends beyond traditional guarding to encompass a wide range of responsibilities. There can include access control, emergency response as well as front-of-house services.
Additionally, our teams bring a deep understanding of the unique dynamics of campus life. This is of particular importance when working with young adults and vulnerable individuals. Our Security Officers are trained to identify signs of vulnerability and risk, enabling them to act swiftly and compassionately within a “partnership of care” model. This includes enforcing visible safety measures such as lanyard policies to deter unauthorised access and maintaining open, respectful communication with students.
The presence of Security Personnel on campus is not only a deterrent to threats but also a source of reassurance, especially during high-energy events like Freshers’ Week, where drug detection dogs from our Canine Security Teams may also be deployed if needed.
