AQQ & APIS

AQQSENT (tm) - APIS Quick Query ('AQQ') and Interactive APIS Pre-Departure

Effective 19 February 2008 - for many airlines, with 6 months grace period ending on 19 August 2008 -  the CBP requires airlines to comply with a new  Pre- Departure Advanced Passenger Information System ('APIS')  rules. These rules apply to all international flights into and out of the United States.

Under the new system, carriers will be required to transmit passenger information  online for vetting by the DHS, and abstain from issuing a boarding pass until a "Clear to Board" message is returned.

AQQSENT - fully certified and approved by the CBP - does NOT require SITA communication  thereby avoids SITA transmission costs. AQQSENT is available in 3 complementing configurations. We work together with our customers to identify and setup the most suitable and cost-effective configuration/s for them.

(1) Stand-alone and mobile box that can be deployed at any airport and in any location within days.

(2) Via a secured Internet connection from the check-in counters.

(3) Via full integration with the Reservations and DCS systems.

Other APIS Schemes

An increasing number of countries ( over 50 ) require that carriers transmit APIS information in advance of arriving at their territories. In the majority of cases, the immigration and border control agencies require details that are contained in the passport. However in the United States requires additional details, and some countries already run advance approval schemes (like Australia's APP).

ICTS is certified to provide APIS information to those countries, including the US , and works together with our clients on carrying out this requirement, collecting and transmitting the information in the most efficient and cost-effective way.
